The State University of New York at Potsdam will recognize nearly 900 candidates for graduation during the College's 2018 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 19. The SUNY Potsdam Class of 2018 will be awarded baccalaureate and master's degrees at the ceremony.
Twenty four peer tutors through SUNY Oneonta's Center for Academic Development & Enrichment have attained National Tutoring Association Level 1 Certification. In addition to being recommended as a peer tutor by a faculty member in each department for which the tutor provides tutoring, these tutors have completed at least eight hours of training and have completed at least 10 hours of supervised tutoring. Their Level 1 certification is valid for two years.

GILBERT, Ariz. - The Oswego State field hockey team earned the Zag Field Hockey / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team Award for the 2017 season, with senior Brianna Ciganek earning an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction honor. The Lakers also had eight members named to the 2017 Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.
The Office of Career Services recently hosted the second annual Excellence in Community Service Luncheon. The event, in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, highlighted the importance of students volunteering and giving back to the local community.

An Ithaca College senior is one of the top five finalists in this year's PRWeek Student of the Year competition, and she got there with a little help from her theater background. Mackenzie Gannon, who graduates this spring with a degree in integrated marketing communications, applied to the industry magazine's competition as part of an independent project in her Public Relations Lab course in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
Graduate students at Buffalo State presented original research or creative work at the annual Student Research and Creativity Celebration held on campus in April 2016. Students from many academic disciplines including art, education, science, and technology explained their work using posters or presentations. Gallery and performance space was allocated to students in the performing and visual arts.
